Congress Tournament Terms and Conditions:
We reserve the right to move players between sections and the decision of the arbiter shall be final.
Except in the open, unrated players may only be eligible for half of 1st prize.
In the event of a tie, prizes may be pooled and divided between the winners.
You MUST be a Gold Member of the ECF on the day of the tournament or incur an additional 12 Pounds Fee.
You MUST pay your entry fee in advance due to limited spaces. There are a number of payment methods accepted. If you do not pay in advance we may fill your seat with another entrant.
Parents or guardians are responsible for their children during the tournament. The Organiser can't take responsibility for any child’s actions, or for the actions of anyone that may affect your child.
The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft or accident during the tournament.
Right to Refuse Entry
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry without being required to state a reason.
Zero Tolerance to Abuse
The Chief Arbiter has the right to expel anyone who causes a disturbance.
Players can choose to wear masks at their own discretion, it will not be compulsory.
People can play regardless of their vaccination status.
If you are showing symptoms of coronavirus or are required to isolate, you must
not participate - Your entry fee can be used as credit for other chessevents if this happens.
These requirements may change depending on government guidelines

Any damage to the building, room, furnishings or equipment will not be tolerated.
If you are unable to attend the event, your entry fee can be used for other events run by chessevents. Refunds are discretional.
We follow the rules of ECF and FIDE where applicable, this includes which games are eligible for rating changes.
